RevSure Email Compliance FAQ: SendGrid & Sub-processor Controls

Short answer

RevSure uses Twilio SendGrid as a sub-processor for email delivery, which automatically enforces compliance controls on RevSure's behalf. Every agent email includes a compliant unsubscribe link, and opt-outs are suppressed globally. This FAQ explains SendGrid's role and the email-compliance controls it provides.

RevSure uses Twilio SendGrid as a sub-processor for email delivery. This means SendGrid's infrastructure enforces several compliance controls on our behalf automatically:

  • Unsubscribe management: Every email sent through our agents includes a compliant unsubscribe link. When a recipient opts out, SendGrid suppresses them globally, and no future sends are attempted to that address.
  • Bounce & spam complaint suppression: Hard bounces and spam complaints are automatically suppressed by SendGrid, protecting both deliverability and compliance.
  • CAN-SPAM compliance: Opt-out requests are honored within 10 days as required by law, enforced at the infrastructure level.
  • GDPR: SendGrid operates under a Data Processing Addendum (DPA) that is automatically incorporated into their Terms of Service, covering EU data processing obligations and cross-border transfer mechanisms.

As the data controller, RevSure is responsible for ensuring contacts are emailed with appropriate basis (e.g. legitimate interest for B2B outreach). SendGrid, as sub-processor, is contractually bound to process that data only on our instructions and in line with applicable privacy law.
